Stone Quarry

A day out of the ordinary to immerse yourself in one of Puglia's oldest traditions.

The typical Lecce stone of this area is soft and very easy to work with, making possible the amazing Baroque style that has made the city of Lecce famous.

You will explore the underground, moonscape of stone quarries and be an apprentice stonemason for a day. Followed by a master and equipped with a chisel you will learn how to transform a block of stone into a unique work of art.
